They are painting, I guess.
I’ve seen this truck numerous times. It never fails to make me smile.

I went for a trip down a curvy road in backwoods Maryland with a C7 on my tail yesterday. He tried to keep up for a bit then I lost him in the woods. I was having fun despite Maryland having terrible roads. One section had the lines going left at the top of a hill when the road went right....fun.

If it were mine I’d lose that “tow equipment” and that’s it.

But that’s the coolest part! Never you mind that it’s completely useless :)

Okay, that got a laugh. Two, actually. First, when I saw the text and then another one for the picture.
...
WHAT IS THIS I’M TOO YOUNG TO KNOW ABOUT STRYPER

Well there is a third brake light bolted to it so there’s that.

Useless tow equipment is the best.

My brother used to swear up and down that they were not a Christian band, because I gave him shit about it all the time. I think he has now accepted the truth.

I mean, I know of Stryper, I’m just young enough that they’re an obscurity I probably shouldn’t.

Last I knew, it was for sale, but for quite a lot. Like $100k range if I’m not mistaken. It’s one of two in the world that are kitted out like that, and all the tow equipment is hand-operated. For a brief period it was hanging out at the Rover-specific shop of a guy I know, and I got to see it there (note the NC tag).

Series I 107s are rare, good condition Series are expensive regardless, and custom Rover factory 1/2-offs have gone through huge attrition. It’s a lot for what amounts to a show-only vehicle, though. I mean, when a brass age Franklin in perfect shape goes for a fraction of that...
(Like this one, Franklin E)
